Every so often a mod pack updates and contains various fixes, changes, and new mods. I went ahead and updated the servers mod pack to v1.6.1, however, some of the core api mods do not support Cauldron because it uses an older version of forge. Cauldron is no longer in development due to the Bukkit DMCA fiasco causing the developer to work on Sponge instead.
Bukkit Forge allowed me to maintain a server that housed a plethora mods while maintaining support for plugins such as Towny, World Guard, Permissions (Ranks), Chest/Land protection. Without it the support for plugins is completely cut off.
Luckily there are some forge mods which mimic the functionality of some of the important plugins such as /spawn, /back, /tpa, spawn protection. The mechanics I'm currently trying to fix are chest protections and town protection.
The server is running at the moment but it is whitelisted while I try to find mods which can take on the role of the plugins that were running on the server. However, it is unlikely I will be able to return the functionality of Towny along with the currency system. It is also possible that the current world will become unstable due to major software changes combined with mod pack updates And I may change the mod pack entirely.I will be changing the mod pack entirely. Other mod packs do have containers which have native protection support.
The current mod packs I am considering are:
(Please note that the Myst mod will not be enabled)

    FTB Infinity Evolved

Feed the Beast Infinity is a general all purpose modpack for Minecraft 1.7.10. It is similar to Feed The Beast Resurrection in that both packs have similar mods. FTB Infinity was added to the launcher on February 5th, 2015. It is mainly aimed at players who want to have all the different types of mods in one modpack. It contains ~150 mods and thus it's not recommended for low end computers.

(This mod pack contains FTB Utilities which allows players to claim map chunks using an in-game GUI)

    FTB Horizons: Daybreaker

Daybreaker is the sequel to the original Horizons, but updated and remastered for 1.7.10. It aims to show off new mods to the realm of FTB, such as
Matter Overdrive for technology, Aura Cascade for magic, and even decorative mods like Ztones and AppleMilkTea. Horizons: Daybreaker finally brings the much beloved Mekanism and Galacticraft to the FTB world, demonstrating their power to a whole new audience.

    FTB: Departed

Feed the Beast Departed is an exploration themed modpack for Minecraft 1.7.10. The player is challenged to survive in multiple environments and dimensions whilst exploring and adventuring.

This modpack is centered around the
    Advent of Ascension mod.
If you are interested in any of these packs please let me know.

The server should be up and running at the time of typing this. I'll type up a better post when I'm not about to fall asleep.
The server is now running the modpack "Feed The Beast: Departed"
    The available commands are;
    /spawn
    /back
/tpl <player> (Not sure if players have access to this)

You will drop your items when you die. Your items will not drop into the world but will rather be on your dead body. Right click on the body to get to your dropped inventory.
I added a couple mods which were not included with the modpack. These mods are REQUIRED to get on to the server.
    FTB Utilities
    FTB Lib
You can add these mods to your mod pack by dragging them into your mods folder in the proper modpack client or you can use the FTB launcher to add them.

Click on the Edit Mod Pack (Make sure you have the Departed modpack selected)

In the next window click on the "Add Mod" button to bring up the file explorer. Simply navigate to wherever you downloaded the 2 mods to and add them to the pack. And that is all there is to do to get on the server.
Good luck, Departed is very dangerous. Take the starter books advice, seek shelter IMMEDIATELY.

The server now uses a very small resource pack for future new items. Players who already use a resource pack will be able to use the servers resourcepack without effecting their current ones. Future new items will not look any different if you do not accept the servers resource pack. The resource pack may expand to more blocks/items in the future and it would be advised to use the servers resourcepack fto experience full gameplay enjoyment on the server. If you have server resource packs disabled for our server you can enable them via the edit button in the server list.

    New Item(s):
Treasure Chest Key - Opens a treasure chest

In the past ghasts have not been exactly all that threatening. Their fireballs are easy to avoid and are generally poorly aimed.
Ghasts have been tuned to be more deadly than a common nuisance. They have far more health and powerful fireballs that you do not want to cross the path of. They will always drop at least 4 ghast tears.

The lovely devs behind the pet plugin have updated it to work with 1.8.3.
Monsters can see through disguises now.
Fixed an issue where players could not teleport to disguised players.
Added not-so-friendly undead and skeletal horses.

Players must now retain line of sight of another player to see their nameplate.
Optimized town checking on new player placements.

Pets and Disguises have proven to be decently stable now since the update and have been added back on to the server.
Custom Items will be coming back soon once I test them some more. There was a serious duplication bug with their recipes when the server updated to 1.8 and were disabled until the plugin in which I use to make these items and their functionality was updated to fix those bugs.
Stats that were recently added to items are in limbo at the moment. The plugin which I use to write scripts with for items has changed how it handles some of its syntax when dealing with item lists, thus, causing me to have to rewrite most of the script for stats.
However, I won't be working on said script until another plugin I use that adds text, lore, colors, etc-etc, to items and to mobs has an official 1.8.0 release. The plugin itself may or may not be updated at all and I do not want to put a lot of work into rewriting a script when the plugin in which it depends on stops being developed. If it turns out that the developers abandon the plugin I will most likely write my own script that generates items on the fly and then work on from there.
