Last time I did the Elite 4 (I was on FireRed on my actual GBA) I had a Lv86 Blastoise by the time I was at the elite 4. I had Zapados with me just in case I needed a fallout along with 4 low Lvs (20s, 10s, etc) so I can revive/heal when he died (which only happened like once on the first run) so it shouldn't be a problem if I do what I did last time.

Edit: Idk if you've noticed. But I'm going out of my way to battle everyone that I can. People may find this annoying, but it gives you a lot of exp and money. By the time you get to the Elite 4 you'll have enough money for 20+ Full Restores and Revives. I don't run away from wild Pokemon either cause even though they give you barely any exp at all, it's still exp.

I also capture every wild Pokemon that I encounter that I don't already have seeing as some items are useful that you get from the Professor's Aids but you need a required amount of Pokemon caught.

Also, new episode. Was a crap ton of trainers, but I finally made it to Rock Tunnel along with getting Blastoise.
